Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about our broadcast infrastructure in extreme terrains.

We specialize in extreme sports and outdoor events in harsh conditions: big wave surfing, freeride snowboarding, rally, skateboarding, and mountain competitions. We work with television networks that require audiovisual logistics in locations without telecommunications infrastructure.

We use Ka-band satellite links with point-to-point microwave backup. Our mobile units feature live switching and JPEG XS encoding to maintain latencies below 200 ms. All equipment is tested in extreme conditions before each event.

Yes. We have a Remote Production Center (REMI) in Buenos Aires that allows us to manage multiple simultaneous events. This reduces deployment costs by up to 40% and centralizes operations without losing broadcast quality. All feeds are received through a private virtual network with traffic prioritization.

We use FPV drones with gyroscopic stabilization and a 2.4 GHz digital video link. They are capable of operating in wind gusts of up to 60 km/h with a 25-minute battery life. We integrate aerial shots with shore and underwater cameras for a real-time multi-camera experience.

It depends on the complexity of the terrain. For a standard event with an accessible location, deployment takes between 48 and 72 hours. In hostile terrains such as glaciers or cliffs, we may require up to a week to install antennas, robotic cameras, and satellite links. We always perform a stress test 24 hours before the broadcast.

Terms and Conditions of Service

The following clauses define the scope, responsibilities, and limitations of the production and transmission services provided by Surfsnowtv. By contracting any of our services, the client accepts these terms in their entirety.

1. Definitions

“Service” refers to the provision of technical infrastructure, capture equipment, operational personnel, and transmission links for sporting events. “Client” is the legal entity contracting the service. “Event” is the sporting or corporate activity for which the transmission is contracted.

2. Scope of Service

Surfsnowtv provides B2B broadcasting solutions, including robotic cameras, long-range drones, Ka and Ku band satellite links, point-to-point microwaves, mobile production units, and remote production centers (REMI). The specific scope is detailed in the service order signed by both parties.

3. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for obtaining all filming permits, image rights, drone flight authorizations, and location access. Any delay or cancellation of the event due to causes attributable to the client does not exempt them from full payment of the contracted service.

4. Limitation of Liability

Surfsnowtv is not responsible for transmission interruptions caused by extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, unforeseen electromagnetic interference, power supply cuts in the event area, or actions of third parties beyond our control. In no case shall total liability exceed the value of the service contracted for the specific event.

5. Intellectual Property

The client retains all rights to the audiovisual content generated during the event. Surfsnowtv reserves the right to use fragments of up to 30 seconds of the produced material for promotional and portfolio purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Payment and Cancellation Conditions

Payments are made according to the schedule established in the service order. Cancellations with less than 15 business days' notice before the event incur a penalty of 50% of the total value. Cancellations with less than 72 business hours' notice result in a charge of 100% of the service.

7. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute shall be submitted to the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction or venue.
